What is CHSF Fund A Need?

Each year, the Foundation chooses a worthy cause to support with the funds raised during the fundraisers for that year. The Fund A Need is chosen based upon the level of impact it will have for the largest populations of students at Canyon. 

Previous Success

The Canyon High School Foundation has raised money to benefit the needs of Canyon High School over the past 7 years.

2009

$22,000 used to purchase a complete set of student computers in the library, new LCD projectors for classrooms, and Career Choices licenses for Freshman Seminar

2010

$14,000 to repaint school cafeteria and replace old ceiling tiles as well as broken stage lighting fixtures.

2011

$25,000 to replace aging classroom televisions with flat panel TV’s to provide teachers with adequate teaching tools.

2012

$9,000 to refurbish restrooms and to purchase novels and books for the English department.

2013

$10,000 was applied towards the purchase of tablets for CHS students.

2015

$22,850 to provide new camera equipment to the Media Tech Career Pathways program, SMART Boards, and computer tablets.

2016

$28,650 used to purchase 20 Fitbits for Physiology, Aviation simulation equipment, 40 Walkie Talkie radios for increased school-wide security and computer tables and chairs for the Library Media Center.
